⚡ The Basics
Q1What exactly is Storm Sniper™?

A hail storm hits your market. You open Storm Sniper™. In about two minutes you have a list of every property inside the radar confirmed impact zone, the owner name, their contact info, a personalized email written and sent, and a follow up scheduled automatically.

No spreadsheets. No list brokers. No separate tools. One platform does the whole thing. Most contractors are still driving around hoping to find the right neighborhood when you are already in someone's inbox.

What this means for you: You stop spending your evenings manually hunting for leads. The system does that work so you can spend that time with your family instead of in front of a laptop.
Q2How is Storm Sniper™ different from HailTrace?

HailTrace shows you a map. That is where it stops. You still have to find the homeowners, buy their contact info somewhere else, write your own outreach, and figure out follow up on your own. And they charge around $600 a month just for that map.

Storm Sniper™ does every single one of those things inside the same platform. Storm maps, property data, contact info, AI-written emails powered by live storm data, postcard campaigns, the 90-Day Hail Map, adjuster reports, automated follow up, and a free supplement every month. $297 a seat a month, and every feature is included.

What this means for you: You get the full workflow for less than what HailTrace charges for a map. One login. One place. Done.
Q3Do I need to sign a contract?

No contract. No commitment. Month to month and you can cancel any time. No phone call required to cancel. No hoops to jump through. Just click and you are done. Most contractors do not cancel because they close a job in the first two weeks and the math becomes obvious.

What this means for you: You are not locked in. Try it for a month with zero pressure and decide for yourself if it changes how you work.
Q4How do I get started?

Go to stormsniper.ai/signup. Pick how many seats you want, enter your card, and your license key shows up in your inbox in under two minutes. Paste it into the app and you are live. No onboarding call. No setup wizard. No waiting on anyone. You can have your first property list pulled within 30 minutes of signing up.

What this means for you: No sitting on a sales call. No tutorial videos. You get in fast and start working leads the same day.
Q5What does it cost and what do I get?

One plan. $297 a seat a month. Every seat gets every single feature.

A seat is one login. Storm maps, NEXRAD radar, live hail tracking, the 90-Day Hail Map, property owner data with phone and email bundled in, bulk email outreach, postcards, the adjuster report PDF, the AI assistant, 1,000 homes a month, and one free supplement a month.

Got a crew? Buy one seat for each rep. Every seat gets its own login and its own 1,000 homes a month. You get one bill and you keep control of billing. Add a seat anytime and you only pay for the days left in the month.

You pay month to month. No contract.

What this means for you: No feature ladders. No paying more to unlock the good stuff. You buy as many seats as you have people, and that is it.
Q6Is there a free trial?

No free trial. One residential roofing replacement averages $8,000 to $15,000. Storm Sniper™ costs $297 a month for one seat. You need to close one job from the platform and you are ahead. Most contractors do that in the first two weeks. The risk is one month of subscription. The upside is a completely different way to run your storm business.

What this means for you: One closed job from Storm Sniper™ and you have already made your money back. Everything after that is gravy.
📡 NEXRAD and Storm Data
Q7What is NEXRAD? I keep hearing that word.

NEXRAD is the national weather radar network. 160 government radar stations scan the sky every few minutes. When hail falls the radar records exactly where it hit, how big it was, and when it happened. That data goes into a free government database and Storm Sniper™ pulls from it directly. No middleman. No license fee. HailTrace pays the University of Oklahoma to license similar data and charges you $600 a month for it. You get the same underlying data category for free inside your subscription.

What this means for you: You are working off government verified radar data. Not Facebook posts. Not a buddy who heard it hailed somewhere near the highway. Real data. That confidence changes how you show up.
Q8Why does NEXRAD show way more hits than the spotter pins?

Spotter pins only appear where a trained human was standing when hail fell. A storm can cover 200 square miles but if only 7 spotters were out that day you only see 7 pins. NEXRAD radar sees the whole storm from above. That same event might have 400 confirmed radar signatures across the full track. The neighborhoods between those 7 pins are completely unworked. No other contractor is knocking those doors because they do not know those properties got hit.

What this means for you: You work zones your competitors do not even know exist. Less competition means less rejection and more energy left at the end of the day.
Q9What are the colored dots I see on the map?

When you hit Older Dates at state zoom every radar confirmed hail signature shows up as a colored dot with the hail size labeled right on it. Every dot is teal, and the bigger the hail the darker the dot. Find the darkest cluster and click it. Storm Sniper™ zooms to street level and draws a precise polygon around the exact storm footprint.

What this means for you: You stop wasting afternoons driving through neighborhoods that got marginal hail. You see instantly where the worst damage is and you put your energy there.
Q10What happens when I click a dot cluster?

Storm Sniper™ drops to street level and draws precision polygons around every radar confirmed cluster, color coded by how hard each area got hit. Click inside any polygon and pull every property owner inside that zone. Names, addresses, property values, roof ages. From dot overview to full property list takes about 60 seconds.

What this means for you: In one minute you have a pipeline that used to take hours to build manually. That is time you do not spend hunched over a laptop Saturday morning when you could be watching your kid's game.
Q11How far back does the storm history go?

Spotter reports go back 75 years to 1950. NEXRAD radar data goes back over 30 years, to the early 1990s when the national radar network came online. Most states give homeowners 12 to 36 months to file an insurance claim after a storm. Storms from last year are still worth working right now. You never run out of inventory.

What this means for you: Slow season does not have to mean slow income. Pull up storms from last spring and keep working when everyone else is sitting still. Steadier revenue means steadier peace of mind year round.
Q12What is the 90-Day Hail Map?

It is the Storm Sniper™ archive. Every radar confirmed hail detection from the last 90 days, on one slider. Open it from the Layers row and drag through time. Hail zones appear for every storm moment, street by street, each labeled with the hail size. Click any zone and you get a free count of the homes inside before you use a single one of your homes. Want this week fast? The Last 7 Days button loads the whole past week in one click.

What this means for you: The storm you missed three weeks ago is still sitting there waiting for you. Sign up in September and work July. The leads do not expire when the news cycle does.
Q13Can I search for storms in any state?

Yes. Storm search covers all 48 continental states. Filter by state, hail size, date range, and event type. If a major outbreak hit Kansas last spring you can pull it up in seconds.

Homes work a little different. We build them state by state from county records, and we keep adding states. Draw a zone where we haven't built the homes yet and the app tells you straight up. No guessing.

If you are traveling and chasing storms across state lines you prep your lead list before you get in the truck. Your territory is wherever you want it to be.

What this means for you: You decide where you work. If you want to chase a big storm two states over you go in prepared with leads already pulled. No wasted trips. No showing up somewhere blind.
🏠 Property Data and Contact Info
Q14How many properties can I pull per month?

1,000 homes a month per seat, on every plan. Each one comes with the owner's name, phone and email when we can find them. Homes you don't use roll over to next month and stay yours. Pull a home you already have? It doesn't count again. Need more? Grab 250 homes for $25 right inside the app. They never expire. No phone call. No waiting.

What this means for you: You have enough leads to keep your crew busy all month without scrambling for more. A full pipeline means your team is working jobs instead of waiting for the next one.
Q15What information do I get on each property?

Owner name, address, mailing address, and the owner's phone and email when we can find them. Property value and year built when the county keeps them, plus an estimated roof age. That is everything you need to decide which doors to prioritize and how to personalize your pitch before you ever ring the bell. Knowing a roof is 18 years old and the hail was 2 inches changes how you open that door.

What this means for you: You stop knocking doors randomly hoping something clicks. You know which houses to prioritize before you leave the truck.
Q16How accurate is the property data?

It comes straight from county property records. We load them ourselves, county by county. Accuracy depends on how current each county keeps its books. Most major metros are very current. Some rural counties lag. Even at 80 percent accuracy on 100 properties, you are reaching 80 homeowners you would have never found otherwise.

What this means for you: 80 real homeowners from one pull is a full week of activity. You are not chasing phantom leads or bad addresses.
Q17How do I get phone numbers and emails?

You do not have to do anything extra. Contact info is bundled into every property pull on every plan. Storm Sniper™ runs each home through a top-tier contact database and adds phone numbers and emails automatically. Expect 60 to 70 percent on phones and 60 to 70 percent on emails. On a list of 100 homes you get 60 to 70 phone numbers and 60 to 70 emails.

What this means for you: You stop driving to doors cold and hoping someone answers. You call first, set the appointment, and show up expected. Less windshield time. More time at the table closing.
Q18What happens when I run out of homes?

You see a clear message showing how many homes you have left. Grab 250 more for $25 right there. They never expire. Your data does not disappear. You can still see everything you already pulled. No surprises. No hidden charges. You always know exactly where you stand.

What this means for you: No anxiety about unexpected bills at the end of the month. You see exactly where you are and you stay in control.
Q19What is the adjuster report and how do I use it?

Click the PDF icon on any property. Storm Sniper™ generates a one-page professional report in seconds. It shows the homeowner's name and address, the NOAA NEXRAD confirmed hail size, the storm date from government radar, a map with the radar polygon, and how many of their neighbors got hit the same day. Print it. Hand it at the door.

What this means for you: You walk up to a door with proof in your hand instead of a sales pitch in your mouth. Less arguing. Less explaining. More homeowners just saying yes.
📧 Email Outreach and Follow Up
Q20Can I send emails directly from Storm Sniper™?

Yes, on every plan. Send one email to a single property or a bulk email to your entire list at once. Merge fields personalize each email automatically. Every homeowner gets their own name, address, hail size, and storm date in the message. You write one email and send it to 100 homeowners in about 30 seconds. Each of them thinks you wrote it just for them.

What this means for you: You reach a hundred people in the time it used to take you to send one email. That is not hustle. That is leverage.
Q21What are merge fields?

Merge fields are placeholders in your email that fill in automatically for each homeowner. You type {owner} and it becomes John Smith. You type {hailsize} and it becomes 2.5 inches. You type {address} and it becomes their actual street address. Write the email once. Every homeowner gets a personalized version with their real information.

What this means for you: You stop copy pasting emails one at a time at 10 at night. Write it once and go do something else. The platform handles the rest while you are at dinner with your family.
Q22Does Storm Sniper™ follow up automatically?

Yes, on every plan. When you send you set a follow up schedule. Seven days, fourteen days, whatever works for your process. The system fires follow up emails on its own. You do not log back in. You do not have to remember. It just runs in the background while you are out knocking doors. The homeowner hears from you multiple times while your competitors send one postcard and move on.

What this means for you: You stop being the guy who meant to follow up but forgot because life got busy. The system remembers for you. You stay consistent without the mental load of tracking every single lead yourself.
Q23Do I get a copy of every email that goes out?

Yes. You get a BCC on every email and every follow up. You always know exactly what went out, who got it, and when it was sent. If a homeowner calls you wondering about the email you sent them, you can pull up exactly what they received.

What this means for you: You stay in the loop without having to babysit the system. Go be on the job site. Go be home. The platform is running and you will know exactly what it did when you check in.
Q24Can SI write the emails for me?

Yes, on every plan. Storm Sniper™ Smart Intelligence (SI) reads your actual storm data and property list and automatically pulls live storm reports and current conditions in real time. It writes a personalized email for each homeowner using their real name, address, hail size, storm date, and roof age. Not a generic template. Real personalization from real live data pulled off the same map you are looking at. Most contractors write one email for their whole list and hope it works. SI writes a version tuned to each person using live weather intelligence.

What this means for you: You stop staring at a blank screen trying to figure out what to write. SI handles it so you can focus on the part only you can do. Showing up and closing the job.
💰 The Big Picture
Q25How does Storm Sniper™ actually make me money?

Three ways. First, you find properties other contractors never work because you use NEXRAD radar and they use spotter pins. Those are uncontested leads. Second, you reach homeowners the same day the storm hits because you have their contact info immediately. Third, the AI and automated follow up keep you in front of every homeowner without any extra work. You set it up once and it runs.

What this means for you: More leads, faster reach, and automatic follow up all working together means you close more jobs without working more hours.
Q26What is the return on investment?

One seat costs $3,564 a year. One residential roofing replacement runs $8,000 to $15,000. One job pays for the whole year. Most contractors close their first job within two weeks. If Storm Sniper™ helps you close one extra job per month, that is $96,000 to $180,000 in added annual revenue against about $3,600 for the seat.

What this means for you: More revenue from the same number of hours worked means you can take a weekend off without feeling like you are falling behind. That is not just money. That is breathing room.
Q27How do I get to homeowners before my competitors?

NEXRAD data is available within 24 hours of a storm. Most contractors do not start working a storm until 48 to 72 hours after it hits. By the time they knock the first door you have already sent emails to every homeowner in the impact zone, set up follow ups, and maybe booked a few inspections. And with the 90-Day Hail Map you can go back and work storms from the past week that you missed entirely. Before those doors get knocked.

What this means for you: You stop feeling like you are always one step behind everyone else. You show up first. That is not luck. That is having the right system.
Q28What does the adjuster report do for me at the door?

It changes everything about that first impression. You are not showing up as a salesperson. You are showing up as someone holding a professional PDF with the homeowner's address, a government radar verified hail size, and a map showing their property inside the confirmed impact zone. That is a completely different conversation from the moment they open the door.

What this means for you: Fewer doors slammed in your face. More homeowners who trust you right away. You go home at the end of the day feeling like a professional instead of a door-to-door salesperson.
Q29Can I send postcards too?

Yes. Storm Sniper™ has print and mail fulfillment built right into the app. Pick your property list, choose a postcard template, and hit send. The system charges your card and sends your order to print. Postcards go out First Class USPS in 3 to 5 business days. You get a confirmation email when the order is in production. No print shop. No envelopes. No extra work.

What this means for you: You run a full outreach campaign without making a single call to a print shop or stuffing a single envelope. That is an afternoon you get back.
📱 The Knock App
Q30Is there a phone app for door knocking?

Yes. It is called Storm Sniper™ Knock and it is included on every plan. Open /knock on your phone and every house you pulled shows up as a colored dot on a map.

Tap a dot and you see the owner name, the hail that hit that roof, the roof age, and the property value before you ring the bell. Set the status right there at the door. The office sees it the same second you tap it.

Add it to your home screen and it opens like a real app. No app store. No download. No update to install.

What this means for you: You stop coming home to an hour of typing up addresses. The work is already in the system before you get back in the truck.
Q31Do I have to use one of my homes every time I add a house on my phone?

No. You can pin a house for free.

Say you knock four houses on a block. Two are not home. One says no. You do not need the owner name on any of them. You just need them on your map so you know you already hit them. Tap the roof, tap Pin only, and it costs nothing.

A free pin still gets you the address, the dot in the right spot, the full hail history for that roof, and every status, note, follow up, and appointment you put on it. The only thing missing is the owner name, the phone number, and the value.

Change your mind later? Tap Get owner info on that pin and it pulls that one home. Everything you already put on it carries straight over.

What this means for you: Your homes go to the houses that can turn into jobs. Not to the ones that already told you no.
Q32How do I know what a tap is going to cost me?

The button tells you. Every button that uses one of your homes says so right on it. Check, Add, and Get owner info all read "1 lookup" on the button face.

Everything else is free. Loading your houses, tapping a dot, reading the owner info, setting a status, notes, follow ups, appointments, calling, navigating, archiving, and showing the homeowner their hail history are all free.

Even tapping a roof to see its address and hail history costs nothing. You see all of it first, then you decide.

What this means for you: One rule to remember. If the button does not say "1 lookup" on it, it is free. You are never surprised.
Q33I set an appointment months ago. How do I find it again?

One tap. There is an appointment button at the top of the map that pulls up every appointment you have ever set. Not just this week. Every one.

They are sorted so the next thing you need to do is the first line you see. Houses you marked as an appointment but never gave a time sit at the very top asking for a time. Then your upcoming ones, soonest first. Then past ones under a divider.

It does not care when you pulled the house. An appointment on a house you pulled last March is right there with the rest.

What this means for you: No scrolling a date filter trying to remember when you pulled that street. You tap once and your next appointment is line one.
Q34Does what I do on my phone show up on my computer?

Instantly. It is the same records, not a copy. Set a status at the door and it is in My Properties on your office computer before you walk back to the truck.

It works the other way too. Set an appointment at your desk and it is on your phone.

Free pins show up on your computer as well, with a small grey PIN tag next to the address so you can tell which houses have full owner data and which ones you just pinned.

What this means for you: One book of houses. Not a phone list and an office list that disagree with each other.
⚙️ Technical Questions
Q35Does Storm Sniper™ work on my phone?

Open it on your laptop, tablet, or phone. It works in any browser on any device. Most contractors prefer a laptop or tablet for the larger screen when they are building their lead lists. But everything is accessible from wherever you are. Your sales rep can pull up a canvass route on their phone while they are already standing in the neighborhood.

What this means for you: You are not chained to a desk. Pull leads from your truck. Check follow up status from the job site. Work a storm from a hotel room the night you arrive.
Q36Is my data secure?

Your license key is validated on a secure server with every single request. Payments go through the same class of secure payment infrastructure the biggest companies on the internet use. We never see or store your card number. Your property data and contact lists are yours. No other subscriber can see your searches or your leads. You are not sharing your territory with anyone. The platform passed a 69-point security audit in July 2026 with zero failures.

What this means for you: Your leads are private. Nobody else on the platform can see which zones you are working or which homeowners you have contacted. What you build in Storm Sniper™ belongs to you and nobody else.
📋 Supplement Sniper™
Q37What is Supplement Sniper™?

The adjuster left money on that roof. Supplement Sniper™ helps you find it.

You upload the adjuster's estimate. We measure the roof and check the local building code for that house. You get a printed packet with every missing item, the dollars, and the code section behind it. Hand it to the adjuster.

What this means for you: The adjuster can argue with you. It's a lot harder to argue with the city code.
Q38Do I really get a free supplement every month?

Yes. Every seat gets one free supplement each billing month. That's a $150 value.

Got five seats? That's five free supplements a month.

What this means for you: Your seat pays for itself on one roof. The free supplement is money you were leaving on the table anyway.
Q39What do extra supplements cost?

$100 when you send your own roof report. $150 when we measure the roof for you. When we measure the roof for you, the measurement usually takes 1 to 2 hours. It goes on the card you signed up with.

Before you pay, the claim says Pick one. 1: Have your own roof report? Upload it and the claim is $100, with results right away. 2: No report? Tap Pay and we charge your card, order the roof measurement, and email you when it lands.

No percentage of what you recover. Ever. Whether we find $1,000 or $10,000, the price stays the same.

What this means for you: You know the price before you start. The bigger the find, the more of it stays in your pocket.
Q40What if you can't measure the roof?

You get your money back. Used your free supplement on it? You get that back too.

What this means for you: You never pay for a supplement we couldn't build.
Q41Do you talk to the adjuster for me?

No. You stay in charge of your job and your homeowner.

We hand you the packet and a meeting sheet with the code behind every item. You walk into that conversation with the proof in your hand.

What this means for you: You look like the pro in the room. The adjuster is arguing with the code, not with you.
Q42Can my crew use it in Spanish?

Yes. Open your account screen and tap Español. The supplement screens come up in Spanish. The meeting sheet prints in English and Spanish side by side, so your crew knows exactly what each line means and still says it to the adjuster in English. The packet for the adjuster stays in English.

What this means for you: Your whole crew can read the packet. Nobody gets left out of the money conversation.
Q43How do I get the roof measurement on a claim?

Running your supplement orders it for you. It usually takes 1 to 2 hours, and we email you when it lands.

If a claim ever shows no measurement, a blue box gives you three steps. 1: Order my roof measurement. 2: Upload your own report. 3: Type the numbers in.

Don't get the tape out first. The items that need roof numbers say Nothing to type, and they fill in by themselves when the measurement lands. Measured it yourself? Tap Have your own number? Type it in.

What this means for you: You never wonder what to click next. And you don't climb a roof for numbers we're about to hand you.
Q44What does "stated as trade practice" mean on an item?

It means the item is standard on a roof like this, but we're not quoting a code section for it.

The card tells you why. The code this city adopted doesn't require it, or we haven't read that part of the city's code yet, or it's an item like the permit that we don't tie to one code section. When the code does require it, the card says "Required by the code adopted at this address" and names the section, the year and the city or state.

What this means for you: You know which items you can back with code and which you ask for as standard practice. No bluffing in front of the adjuster.
Q45What does the Hail on the date of loss card tell me?

It sits on your claim screen next to the wind card. It shows what the radar recorded at the house on the date of loss on the estimate.

Green means radar saw hail there. You get the stone size and the date, and how close the nearest radar hit was. That prints in your supplement packet.

Gray means our radar records show no hail at the house, or don't reach that date yet. That is not proof no hail fell. The packet stays quiet about it, so it never argues against a claim the adjuster already approved.

If the check can't run, the card says so and says why. Nothing else on the claim changes.

Q46What does "found by SI" mean on a line?

SI double checks every estimate. Sometimes it finds a line the carrier paid that our first read missed.

When those lines add up to the estimate's total, they go on your claim by themselves, marked found by SI. Anything the carrier already paid comes off your ask, so you never ask for it twice.

When they don't add up, SI shows you the line and you decide. Tap Add it, or leave it off.

What this means for you: Your supplement never asks the adjuster for something he already paid. That keeps your credibility where it belongs.
Q47Will it read my insurance company's estimate?

Most likely, yes. We read the estimate layouts the big carriers and their adjusters use. That includes the kind with one plain Total Cost column and no depreciation.

When our reader can't pull the lines, SI reads them for you. Then it checks that they add up to the total printed on the estimate. If they don't, you'll see a warning to compare before you send anything.

Only have a paper copy? Take a photo of each page and upload the photos. A scan works too. SI reads the pictures, so it takes about a minute longer. Keep each page flat, bright and in focus.

What this means for you: Upload the estimate you got. You don't need to know what program the adjuster used.
Q48What is the claims board?

It keeps every claim moving. Each claim shows its status, the money, who owns it and when to follow up next.

Before you send the supplement, the money says FOUND. After you send it, it says ASKED. A red dot means a follow up is overdue, and those claims move to the top of My Claims. STALLED means nothing happened on an open claim for two days.

Open a claim and the Next step box at the top tells you the one thing to do now, with a button that does it. Tap I sent it and we mark the claim sent and set your follow up for three days out. Tap Change when you want to set the status, the owner or a date by hand. Once a claim is sent, tap Write my follow up and SI writes the email to the adjuster for you. You send it from your own email. Every step lands on the timeline below the findings, newest first.

What this means for you: No claim slips through the cracks. You see who needs a call today, and you make it.
🧠 Smart Intelligence (SI)
Q49What is Smart Intelligence (SI)?

SI is the part of Storm Sniper™ you just talk to. Hit 🧠 Smart Intelligence at the top of the screen, type a question in plain words, and hit Send.

It looks up live government weather data, your storm list, the homes you pulled and the territories you drew. Then it answers you and moves your map to show you.

What this means for you: You stop clicking around hunting for answers. You ask, and the map comes to you.
Q50What can I ask SI?

Real questions roofers ask it:

"Is it hailing anywhere right now?"
"Will it hail in Amarillo this week?"
"How many times has 412 Elm St been hit in the last two years?"
"Which homes in Tulsa got hit twice this year?"
"How many homes are in my territory?"
"Where was the wind strongest around Lubbock?"
"Score my leads and write me a door script."

It answers with live government radar and forecasts, the homes you already pulled, and the territories you drew.

What this means for you: Questions that used to take three websites and an hour now take one sentence.
Q51Does SI ever spend my homes or charge my card?

No. Asking never spends your homes, and SI never pulls homes or charges your card.

It can count homes, show you where the hail hit, and open a spot's card with the home count and price. You press Pull. Always.

What this means for you: You get a sharp assistant with no way to run up a bill behind your back.
Q52How many SI questions do I get?

300 a month per seat. One question is one question, no matter how much SI looks up to answer it.

Need more before your new month starts? Call 214-993-9956 and we'll add them.

What this means for you: 300 covers a busy month. And if a big storm week burns through them, one call fixes it.
🌨 Reading the Hail Layers
Q53Why don't Hail on the ground and Radar hail hits match?

They're two NOAA measurements of the same storm. They agree on where the storm went, not on the exact edges.

🛰 Radar hail hits (NOAA Level 3) mark where each radar spotted a hail core up in the sky, about every 5 minutes. We draw them big so they're easy to see.

🌨 Hail on the ground (NOAA MESH) blends every radar into one grid and shows where hail 0.75 inch and up landed, in half mile squares.

On July 4, 2026 over northwest Oklahoma, 501 of 528 radar hail hits sat inside Hail on the ground. For a roof count, use Hail on the ground.

What this means for you: You know which layer to trust when you're picking streets. And you can explain both to an adjuster in one sentence each.
Q54Can I see wind damage too?

Yes. Pick a Start and End of 7 days or fewer, then hit Wind swath (7 days). The map colors the estimated top wind gust for those dates, from 40 mph to 150 mph and up. A longer range shows nothing, so keep it to 7 days at a time.

Wind history goes back to June 1, 2026. We started keeping it live on October 9, 2026 and filled in the summer behind it.

The Hurricane tracker keeps every storm for two years. The last 30 days show on the map. Older ones are in the Older storms list on the tracker card.

Draw a circle over the colors and pull the homes, the same as hail.

What this means for you: Straight line wind tears shingles off too. Now you can find those roofs, not just the hail ones.
Q55I tapped Email it on a follow up and nothing happened. Why?

Your computer has no default email app set, so the click had nowhere to go. The letter is already copied, so paste it into any email and send it.

The one-time fix on a Mac: open Apple Mail, click Mail, then Settings, and on the General tab set Default email reader to Mail. If you use Gmail in Chrome, paste chrome://settings/content/handlers into the address bar and make sure mail.google.com is allowed. On your phone it just works.

What this means for you: Set it once and Email it opens a ready-to-send message every time. Until then, Copy and paste gets the same letter out the door.
Q56The carrier sent a revised estimate. How do I know what they paid?

Upload it the same way you uploaded the first one. We match their new lines against the items you asked for and the Next step box spells it out: how many items they paid, how much, and what is still owed.

Then pick one. Tap Ask again for the rest and SI writes a follow up for just the owed items. Tap They paid it all if they covered everything. Tap That is all we will get if you are done asking. If an item could not be told from their lines, open their estimate and check that one by hand.

What this means for you: No more reading two estimates side by side with a calculator. You see what they paid and what they skipped in one sentence, and the next letter is already half written.
Q57What is the morning brief email?

One email at 7 AM Central on the days a claim needs you. It says how many follow ups are due, how many carriers answered, how many claims have stalled, then lists them one line each with a link that opens the claim.

No claim needs you, no email. Paid and closed claims are never in it. Each person on the account gets his own claims; the owner gets all of them. The link at the foot turns it off. Turn Text on under Settings and the same morning you get a short text with the counts and a link. Reply STOP to end the texts.

What this means for you: You know what to chase before you finish your coffee, without opening the app to find out.
Q58The adjuster says he never got my supplement. Can I pull up the exact one I sent?

Yes. Every time you tap I sent it, the packet as it was that moment is saved under the claim, and every SI follow up letter you mark as sent is saved too. Open the claim and look for the Sent box above the timeline. Round 1, round 2, each with its date. Tap Open and there it is, ready to print or send again.

The claim itself keeps moving as you price rows and the carrier answers. The saved copies never change.

What this means for you: "I never got it" stops being a dead end. You forward the exact letter with the date on it and the conversation moves on.
Q59How do I see what the supplements are bringing in?

Open My Claims and tap Reports. The Financial Snapshot is on top: what SI found, what you asked for, what the carriers paid, what they still owe, and your average increase per paid claim. Set the dates, the owner or the insurance company and it all updates.

Closed Supplements lists every paid claim in the range with the carrier estimate, what you asked, what they paid and the percent you got. Claims Overview shows your whole book by status. Status duration shows where claims sit and for how long. Owner performance, Insurer summary and Adjuster activity score each person, each insurance company and each adjuster. Money by month shows found, asked and paid month by month. Tap a line to open the claim. Tap Print for a copy on your letterhead, or Export for a spreadsheet. Tap Schedule and the ones you tick land in your inbox every morning, every Monday or on the first, PDF attached.

What this means for you: You know, to the dollar, what the supplement work paid this quarter, and which carriers pay and which drag their feet.
Q60I opened a claim and I am not sure what it wants me to do. Where do I look?

Start at the row of steps at the top: Upload, Price, Send, Follow up, Paid. The dark one is where this claim is. Right under it, the Next step box says the one thing to do now, with the button that does it.

Still not sure? Tap What does this mean? under the sentence. You get three plain lines about that exact moment. The same link sits under every item SI found, so you can read what ice and water barrier is and why the carrier owes it before you ask for it. Any word with a little ? next to it has a one line meaning when you tap it. And Help at the top opens the help page right over the app.

What this means for you: Nobody on your crew has to learn the app. They open a claim, read one sentence, and tap one button.
Q61Where do I keep the adjusters and insurance companies I deal with?

You don't keep them. The app does. Tap People at the top of My Claims. Every adjuster you named on a claim and every insurance company from your estimates is listed with phone, email and the claims they touched. Open one to add notes or fix a number, and every claim picks it up.

Spelled one adjuster two ways? Open one record, pick the other under Merge into, tap Merge. The claims move over and nothing is lost.

What this means for you: The next time that adjuster shows up on a claim, his phone, his email and your notes on how he works are already there.
Q62Can I give a salesperson a seat without letting him into the money?

Yes. Under People, tap Team, tap his name, and set his access to Outside. He sees only the claims he owns and cannot change anything. Give him the Salesperson role and pick him on his claims under Change, and the Sales person performance report shows what his jobs brought in.

Admin runs the team. Member is a normal seat. The account owner is always admin, and nobody can change his own access.

What this means for you: Your crew, your office and an outside consultant can all be on the account, each seeing exactly what they should.
Q63Where do I put the measurement report, the adjuster's emails and the check stub?

On the claim, in the Files box above the timeline. Tap Add a file, say what it is (measurement report, adjuster email, carrier letter or check, photo, other), pick the file, tap Add. Open shows it right over the app. Up to 25 MB each.

Remove takes a file off the list, but the history still shows it was there and who removed it.

What this means for you: When the adjuster calls, everything on that claim is one tap away, not scattered across your inbox and your phone.
Q64Can I send the supplement to the adjuster without leaving the app?

Yes. When the claim is ready, the Next step box says Send to adjuster. Tap it. The box opens with his email, a note that names the claim and the dollars, the packet PDF and the measurement report attached. It goes from your company name and replies come to your email. Read it, change anything, tap Send.

The app keeps the packet as sent, marks the claim Sent, Waiting, and sets your follow up. No Mail app, no copy and paste. The button stays in the box after that first send, so when the carrier answers and you have priced something new, Send to adjuster sends the whole packet again as round two.

What this means for you: From priced to in the adjuster's inbox is one tap, and the record of exactly what went out is kept for you.
Q65The homeowner keeps asking what is going on with the claim. Is there something I can hand them?

Yes. Open the claim and tap Homeowner letter. It opens on your letterhead, addressed to them by first name, in plain words: what the insurance company's estimate left off and why, one sentence per item, what you asked for and the total, the money that is already theirs and held until the final invoice, and what happens next. If the carrier has answered, it says what they paid and what is still owed.

Tap Español and the whole letter is in Spanish. Print it, save it as a PDF, or tap Email to homeowner and it goes from your company name with the PDF attached. The claim keeps a copy.

What this means for you: The homeowner stops calling you for updates, and when the adjuster drags his feet, the homeowner already understands the claim well enough to make the call that moves it.
Q66The adjuster answered my supplement in an email, not a revised estimate. Can the app read that?

Yes. On the claim, under the Next step buttons, tap Paste their reply, paste his email and tap Read it. SI reads it against the items you asked for and shows you each one: Approved, Denied or Not mentioned, with his own words and any dollar figure he stated. You check it, flip anything SI got wrong, and tap Save this.

The claim then shows what he approved and what is still owed, the same as when a revised estimate comes in. Ask again for the rest writes a follow up that answers his reasons. If he asked you for something, photos, the measurement report, an invoice, it shows in the box until you tap Done. His email is kept under Files.

What this means for you: A "permit approved, sweep denied, send me photos" email becomes a scored claim, a to do and half a follow up letter in about ten seconds, with no retyping.
Q67Can it tell me a storm is coming before it hits, not after?

Yes. The government forecasters write a short note one to three hours ahead: where, what size hail, how strong the wind, whether a watch is coming. Heads up, under More layers on the map, lists every active note in plain words with the time it runs until, draws its area when you tap it, and shows the forecasters' own text under Their words.

With Text on and a saved territory, you get one text the moment a note's area touches your territory: hail size, wind, the area and the time. Ask SI "is anything about to hit Plano?" and it reads the same notes.

What this means for you: Your truck is in the right county at 5 o'clock, not reading about it at 7.
Q68Is there a video that shows how to do this, so I do not have to read?

Yes. Go to stormsniper.ai/learn. One question per page, a two sentence answer, then a two minute video of the real screens. The chapters under the video jump to the exact second, and the whole transcript is on the page.

Every page has a Spanish twin, one tap at the top. Ask SI the same question inside the app and it hands you the page and the minute.

What this means for you: A new hire learns the app on his phone in the truck, in English or Spanish, before he knocks the first door.
Q69How do I set up a territory so I get the alerts?

Settings, then Add Territory. The map comes up with the pin tool already on. Tap around the area you work, double-click the last pin, name it, press Save Territory. Circle, Rectangle and Freehand are right there on the bar if you want a different shape.

Then tick Call me, Text me or Email me under Storm alerts and set the smallest hail you want to hear about. That is the whole setup.

What this means for you: Hail hits your area at midnight and your phone knows before the news does. You are routing trucks while the other guys are still reading about it.
Q70What does the $1 first month include?

It is the Win the Storm offer. Use the code WTS1 and your first month is $1. After that it is $297 a seat. No contract. Cancel anytime.
